CONDITION REPORT Very small surface chip to rim, small areas of crackle glaze, no apparent restoration.

DELLA ROBBIA; a majolica rectangular wall plaque mould decorated with cherubic figures in garden, marked to back, 29 x 49cm, framed (af). CONDITION REPORT: The lower part of the plaque has been horizontally broken off and staple repaired, crazing to the glaze throughout. Some surface dirt and rubbing to the paint. This is from Birkenhead.

She studied drawing with philanthropist reformer, Octavia Hill, at the Ipswich School of Art and, whilst studying at the Slade School, she became interested in sculpture. She took part in Arts and Crafts Society Exhibitions and she signed works for Della Robbia Pottery, Birkenhead from 1896.

CONDITION REPORT There are no obvious signs of damage, there is a manufacturing fault to the underside of the rim which measures just under 2cm, but no other obvious visible signs of damage.
