A Charles II Carved Walnut Caned Daybed (A/F). The angled back with canework panel in a pierced frame carved with undulating foliage and a pair of cherubs flanking a crown to the cresting rail. The barley-twist side columns capped by turned finials. The long rectangular caned seat on six barley-twist legs with similarly turned cross stretchers and a long pierced rail of scrolling foliage to the front, 34 ins (87 cms) high, 65 ins (165 cms) in length. [Recently removed from Flaxey Abbey Gloucs].
A French daybed, with brass mounts, circa 1900. Width 52 ins. CONDITION REPORT: We only have the bed head and foot. There are no side rails. All of the metalwork is present and correct although a little tarnished and dirty. The timber is also all present and in generally good order with only minor blemishes and scuffs as one would expect from the age of the piece. Ideally a good clean and polish would be in order.
A French painted walnut daybed, circa 1900. Mattress width 31 ins, length 75 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This bed is in generally good condition. There is some minor rubbing to the paintwork on some of the proud parts of the carving (which may be intentional). Other than this the piece is structurally very sound with no significant damage, no repairs and no restoration. The mattress and base are also in generally very good condition and the piece could be used or resold in its current condition without the need for any repairs or restoration.

A CHARLES II WALNUT AND CANED DAYBED, C1685-90 with carved 'Boyes & Crownes' crest rail, 85cm h; 56 x 170cm++The rails strengthened with an iron strip running all the way round the inside of the frame and with two replacement wooden battens. Old small let in repairs in one or two places, dowels replaced here and there and wormed in places. Cleaned when repaired probably in the early 20th c. A genuine largely original example
