Fine, rare and imposing Black Forest double fusee walnut veneered Beha calendar cuckoo clock of museum quality, the movement with wooden plates striking the hours and half hours on a gong; after the strike a trip starts the musical movement mechanism and proceeds to play one of six tunes on an 11" cylinder, the 5.5" dial with blue Roman cartouche numerals and pierced bone hands, over an automatic calendar with three windows for day, date and month, the burr walnut and ebony breakfront case inlaid with boxwood lines, foliage and flowerheads surmounted by an arched scrolled pediment housing the cuckoo behind two doors, 25.25" high
