PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME (2010) - Dastan's (Jake Gyllenhaal) Complete Costume and SwordsDastan's (Jake Gyllenhaal) complete costume and swords from Mike Newell's fantasy action film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Prince Dastan wore his costume and wielded his twin swords throughout the film, as he attempted to clear his name after being framed for the murder of his father by his uncle Nizam (Ben Kingsley). He most notably wore his armoured chest piece during the assault upon the Holy City of Alamut.The costume comprises a leather breastplate with ornate gold-toned metal and resin platings and two sword sheaths fastened to the back; a pair of brown corduroy trousers; a pair of black-and-brown leather-wrapped suede boots constructed around a pair of size 11 trainers; a red scarf; a brown leather gauntlet; a brown leather elbow gauntlet; three black leather belts; and two rubber swords. Accompanying this costume is a set of jewellery, including two metal bracelets (one of which features a skull); a braided leather bracelet; a metal chain necklace; and a leather cord necklace with four unique charms hanging from it. The lot is intentionally distressed, with applied scuffs and verdigris on the metal-plated details. It also exhibits further wear from production use, including two holes in the scarf and a missing clasp on the skull bracelet, which is now held together by a safety pin.
