A fine gilt brass 18 light two tier chandelier, the reeded and scrolling branches with sprays of foliage, baluster turned and reeded stem lined with cut glass lyrups crowned by acanthus, the simulated candleholder electric light fittings hung with lustres and pear shape drops. Second half 20th century.
A silver copy of an early George II cast tea time candlestick (for scented candles), the baluster stem with a spool shape candleholder and shaped base, engraved the arms of the Cloth Makers Company with George V Silver Jubilee presentation inscription underneath. 5 1/2 in. A large silver plated Victorian candlestick by Thomas Bradbury & Sons, Sheffield, with fluted column beneath foliate scrolled supports holding a drip tray and tapering pierced scrolled candleholder, the base with engine turned decorated friezes and beaded rims raised on shell scrolled feet - impressed marks and Victorian lozenge monogram, Sheffield 1866. An Ottoman brass candlestick, Syria or Turkey, circa 18th century, with a concave base supporting a driptray with raised rim, the candleholder of tulip form on a tall slender stem, later drilled around base, h.26cm., 10.25in.; together with a bronze candlestick, the central column, Egyptian, 8th/9th century A.D., functionally modified with non-associated upper & lower fittings, 61cm., 24in high.
