Height 12cm, plus other decorative ceramics to include a pair of 1930s pottery bookends modelled as playful terriers, four pieces of Beswick comprising two models from the Beswick 'Alice Series' - 'Gryphon' and 'Mock Turtle', a sculpture of a lioness, and a 'Tigger' figurine, together with a plate hand painted with an anthromorphic portrait of a cat dressed as a pirate, a pottery model of a startled cat, a miniature tureen modelled as a fish and one other fish.

Beswick China figure of a Mounted Trooper of the Life Guards. This finely executed ceramic figure displays a Trooper of the Regiment in Review Order. His right hand holds the State Pattern Sword at the Present. Complete with nickel chain and leather reins, tightly held by the left hand. Mounted onto the original polished wooden base with a plaque bearing the details. Height 15 inches. One horse ear repaired Good detail and colour. BEETLEJUICE (1988) - Sandworm Puppet - A sandworm puppet from Tim Burton's supernatural comedy Beetlejuice. Barbara and Adam Maitland (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) fed Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) to a sandworm on Saturn. The sandworm sequences were achieved using a combination of rod-controlled puppets and stop-motion animation created by visual effects artist Doug Beswick. The lot is made of foam-filled latex skin finished in distinctive black-and-white stripes with an internal metal armature. It features red eyes and a green open mouth displaying striped teeth with an additional, smaller protruding white head decorated with purple markings. This version is missing its back fin. The puppet comes mounted on a wood and Styrofoam base painted to resemble the sandy landscape where the creature dwells. The latex skin exhibits cracking due to age, and the skin has crumbled away in places, exposing the foam underneath, notably in the upper black section of the body. Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) attacked Mark in a comic book-like dream, where he turned him into paper and cut him up.This lot comes from the collection of Doug Beswick, an effects artist well-known for his stop-motion animation and creature effects work. It consists of three full-body paper puppets. Multicolored over three different portions of the body, these puppets feature a metal sheet backing and tab at the bottom with two production-made holes. The tabs are hand-marked with "18," "31," and "50" in black ink. These puppets exhibit some creasing, fold lines, and tears on the fingers. Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) prepared to marry Lydia (Winona Ryder) by summoning a frightful minister from the fireplace after he saved the Maitlands. The sequence was created with a combination of live-action and stop-motion animation.This set comes from the collection of Doug Beswick, an effects artist well-known for his stop-motion animation and creature effects work. It consists of three angular foam fireplace frame miniatures painted in shades of gray and teal with wood tabs and metal tubes inset in the back. They are molded in increasing size and hand-marked "2," "14," and "26" in red marker. This lot exhibits discoloration, notable adhesive residue, and notable paint marks.
