Six Beswick figures; "Cairn Terrier", model no.1055A, a rocking horse grey "Foal (small, gambolling left)", model no.996 and two pairs of spaniels, also a similar pair and a further figure of a dog (9). CONDITION REPORT: Grey foal: both tips have minute chips, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration. Cost to post to just the foal to Australia approx £50 plus VAT.
A Beswick figure of an "Angel Fish", model number 1047, also a pair of seated spaniels, model number 1378-3, and a near pair of Beswick ware vases, decorated in relief with foliate scrolls, height 20cm (5). CONDITION REPORT: Fish: crazing to the glaze throughout, no obvious damage or restoration. Vases: one with crazing inside and out, area of nibbles to glaze on edge of base, other has minor crazing, restoration to the edge. Spaniels: Generally in good condition with surface dirt.
Two small Royal Doulton figures; HN2038 "Peggy" and HN1798 "Lily", a larger Royal Doulton figure "Pantalettes" (af), a Royal Doulton character jug D6438 "Rip Van Winkle", a small Dickensian bust "Buzfuz" and a Beswick dapple grey horse (6). CONDITION REPORT: Considerable surface dirt which should be removable. Peggy: small chip to front skirt. Lily: good condition. Pantalettes: seriously damaged and crudely repaired. Buzfuz: good condition. Rip Van Winkle: small chip to front of hat. Horse: good condition.
A collection of ten various Royal Doulton figures of horses (one second), mainly boxed, also two Beswick examples and a West Germany example (13). CONDITION REPORT: West Germany: chip to each ear and crazing. Orange horse: tiny chip to the front hoof. Crazing to the legs of one of the brown horses.
A collection of Royal Doulton character jugs; D6455 "Don Quixote", D6440 "Porthos", D6439 "Athos", D6441 "Aramis" (all first quality), D6691 "D'Artagnan", D6335 "Long John Silver", D6498 "The Lawyer", D6867 "The Gardener", D5847 "Leprechaun", D6697 "The Fireman", D6660 "Sir Francis Drake" and "Happy John (these eight are second quality) and four Beswick Dickensian character jugs; "Tony Weller" x2, "Sairey Gamp" and "Micawber" (16). CONDITION REPORT: Eight of the Royal Doulton character jugs are of second quality. Porthos has crazing to the glaze on his face. Don Quixote has a small firing crack to the rim. Aramis and Athos are in good condition. The three Beswick character jugs with green hats all have crazing to the glaze throughout. Tony Weller has a chip to the hat. The other Tony Weller has a crack to the handle.
Three Royal Albert Beatrix Potter figures; "Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail", "Mrs Rabbit Cooking" and "Jemima Puddleduck with Foxy Whiskered Gentleman", a Halcyon Days Peter Rabbit figure trinket box, a Beswick Beatrix Potter figure "Mrs Tittlemouse" and a Beswick Wind in The Willows figure, WIW4 "Ratty", 437/200 (6).
A Beswick "Ballet" pattern decorated six setting tea set comprising trios, dessert bowls, also a sandwich plate, a serving bowl, a butter dish, cheese plate with dome, cream jug, sugar bowl and a teapot. CONDITION REPORT: Some examples with crazing to include tea pot; sugar bowl with scratches; one cup with hairline; all items with traces of surface wear.
A quantity of mixed ceramics comprising a Shelley trio in "Dainty White" pattern, a Shelley trio in "Dainty Blue" pattern with a matching rectangular tray, a further Shelley trio (saucer af), three Continental shallow bowls with flower and insect decoration, a set of five small Bavarian bowls, three small Royal Doulton character jugs and a Beswick golden eagle decanter. CONDITION REPORT: General surface dirt. One Shelley saucer has been broken into two parts, both pieces present. Shelley Dainty White saucer has a chip to the rim and possible restoration to the handle. One of the Continental shallow bowls has two chips to the inside of the foot rim not visible from above.
A quantity of various ceramics to include a near pair of Continental earthenware candlesticks with hand painted floral and ornamental decoration, height 24.5cm, a majolica foliate and floral decorated jug of square section, a Royal Doulton character jug, a Hummel figure, a Mason's "chartreuse" pattern decorated ginger jar, a Bretby waisted vase, a Wedgwood blue jasperware pin dish, a Beswick figure of a duck and another, three modern Japanese Satsuma vases, a large trickle glazed studio pottery jug, an Italian studio jardinière, various plates, etc.
