A mahogany cased barograph by Short & Mason Ltd, first half 20th century, with bevelled glass panels to lift off cover, the base with drawer and bracket feet, the mechanism with eight aneroid segment chamber within lacquered brass armature operating via a system of pivoted levers, marked "Stormograph", comes with original ink bottle recessed into the case, graph charts, the ivorine plaque reads 'Made for C. Werner & Co Pty Ltd, Melbourne by Short & Mason Ltd', cylinder unmarked, 14½ x 9in. (36.8 x 22.9cm.), 8½in. (21.5cm.) high.
