(51cm.) high (wear, wire rods protruding from the tip of three limbs, some moth holes, repairs and fading to costume); a recent embroidered portrait of this bear the corners with blackberries; and a page from Bear Collector featuring this bear - this actual bear was sold in Christie's South Kensington 8th December 1997 auction as lot 89. The distinct jester's costume is identical to the one used by Steiff's clown manufactured first in 1904 and are well known for copying Steiff toys directly; it is know that this resulted in a lot of legal rites issued by Steiff.
