An early Victorian papier mache tray by Jennens & Bettridge, boldly painted with trailing flowers, "weeping' gilt foliage and butterflies overall, 78 x 59cm, painted to the underside J & B 301. In overall excellent condition with very minor refreshing of the gilt decoration which is not too extensive and hardly noticeable. No breaks or repair
An Anglo-Indian sandalwood casket and cover, the exterior intricately carved with panels of birds or flower filled lozenges in gadrooned or trailing borders,, the interior fitted with a tray divided into lidded compartments, on four paw feet, 30 x 18cm, Mangalore, 19th c. In overall good condition although there are tow natural cracks in the detachable lid which do not extend very far. The exterior is rather dusty. No serious faults or loses and no restoration
A Chamberlain's Worcester basket or card tray, decorated with a view of Worcester from the River Severn in a raised gilt frame reserved on a cobalt blue ground, in a lightly moulded border of overlapping gilt leaves with entwined handle and paw feet, 20. 5cm diam, painted mark and title in puce script, c1830 . Old discoloured restoration but of acceptable appearance
A Belleek Tridacna cabaret service, fringed in pale pink and gilt, tray 38cm w, first period impressed and/or black printed mark, 1863-90 (11). Minute wear to the gilt rim on the sugar bowl and tip of the spout of the teapot but this is very limited and hardly noticeable, one saucer with central hairline crack about two inches long. All other pieces in fine condition with no damage or restoration. Offered on the instructions of the executors of deceased's estate and quite possibly the first time the service has been sold. Note: there are three cups but only two saucers, hence the single cup has been omitted from the catalogue illustration
