An early Victorian mahogany bookcase, the top half with moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors, the base fitted with one drawer above a pair of panelled cupboard doors enclosing shelves. Width 84.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The dust board to the top of the cabinet above the cornice is loose. The cornice itself and crossbanded frieze are in good order. The left hand door closes as it should and the brass retaining mechanisms operate. There is a small loss just above the lock escutcheon on the outside edge. The right hand door is not warped. The lock is present but detached, we have the key. We cannot currently operate the lock. The sides of the top are in good order. The left hand side of the base is in good condition. Both doors close as they should and are not warped. There are no cracks to the doors. The right hand side of the base has numerous old marks and scuffs. The plinth base itself is in generally good order with only minor veneer nibbles. The interior tray is present as is the shelf.
A Chinese Canton tray, 19th century, 26 x 22cm, three Chinese celadon dishes, another Chinese porcelain dish and an ivory circular box. Condition report: Gilt rub on top rim. Nibbles around rim on two of the three celadon dishes. Chip to foot rim on single porcelain dish. Cracks to cover of ivory box. Canton tray 22cm x 26cm. Celadon dishes 19cm. Single porcelain dish 20.5cm. Ivory box, height 7cm, diameter 7.2cm.
A Clarice Cliff crocus pattern 'Bizarre' cruet set, comprising salt, pepper and mustard pot and cover, length of tray 15cm. Condition report: Crazing to tray and fine crack. Salt has two fine chips around hole. Pepper pot badly cracked and damage to holes in top. Some crazing to mustard pot but generally good condition.
