An Arts and Crafts oak stick stand with stylised metal decorative panel and fitted with a drawer and drip tray. Height 111 cm, width 74 cm, depth 31.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The hall stand is in generally good order. It is structurally sound. There are no cracks or losses to the timber. There is no evidence of any damage, repairs or restoration. There is no evidence of any woodworm. There are no loose joints. There are some minor scuffs, scratches and marks around the extremities as one would expect. The shelf above the drawer is a little discoloured in places probably due to water. There are however no ring marks, it has not been varnished.
A George III mahogany commode cabinet, with tray type top above a pair of doors with brass handles and with commode drawer beneath. Height 79 cm, width 48 cm, depth 46 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The commode is in generally good condition. The top is flat with no splits and has only very minor scratches and marks. The sides are both in good order with only minor liquid stains and marks. The rear panel is in good condition. The legs are in good order and free from any repairs. The doors are not significantly warped. There is a small section of boxwood inlay missing to the righthand top door. The interior is a little dirty. The commode is furnished and the lid is present. The brass handles would appear to be original. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
Twenty pieces of Masons Ironstone Chartreuse patterned wares, including bowls, lidded vessels, plates, vases, jug etc. CONDITION REPORT: The rectangular two handled tray has visible crazing as does one of the large circular plates. All remaining items are in good order and all are free from chips, damage, repairs or restoration.
A collection of 11 pieces of Masons Blue Mandalay and Mandalay patterned wares, comprising planters, bowls, jugs, tray etc (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: All items are in generally good condition and free from any chips, damage, repairs or restoration. The hexagonal jar has some visible crazing. The two jardinières are a little dirty to the interior. This should probably wash off. The cylindrical jardinière has some rubbing to the gilding.
A continental porcelain tea set, comprising tray, cup saucer, teapot and milk jug, together with other similar items by Spode and Royal Crown Derby (12). CONDITION REPORT: The floral encrustation to the teapot lid has small chips. Other than this the tea set is in good order with no further damage, no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration. The underside edge of the tray is a little dirty. There is also some minor rubbing to the gilding on this lot. All accompanying Spode and Royal Crown Derby pieces are in good order with no issues.
An early 20th century hat and coat stand, mahogany, with circular base and drip tray and raised on scrolled feet. Height 190 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The hall stand requires a good clean and does have some minor issues. The top turned finial has a loss to the bottom turned section. All brass hooks are dirty and tarnished and one is a little loose. The circular centre hoop is loose at the pegs and there is a gap in one of the seams which should pull together. The base is a little dirty, tired and marked and has been affected with woodworm. The veneer is missing from all around the outside edge. It is however structurally solid. The legs are all original and in good order.
