A Victorian walnut cased upright symphonium, with a later base playing 19" discs on two combs with penny slot to the right hand side, the later base containing +/- 17 disks. Height symphonium with base 197 cm high. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Externally the symphonium is in very good order. It has had some restoration work done at some point in its life particularly and the detachable cornice and has had a new turned wooden foot added. The penny slot works and the machine works as it should, the mechanism being well maintained and covered with grease. There are no teeth missing from the combs and everything appears to work as it should. The discs are 19 ins, and it comes with 17 discs.
