A pair of Sitzendorf candelabra one depicting a musician playing a recorder to a female seated upon a goat, the second depicting a man with axe in hand, seated upon a sled, both with three candle deposits on upwardly curved branches with applied floral and foliate decoration, 11½in. A Meissen figure group of Winter late 18th/early 19th century, personified as a boy seated on a sled and wearing a fur-trimmed hat and cloak, an axe on one knee and a bundle of faggots by his side, his companion warming her hands over a brazier, blue crossed swords and star mark, later decorated, some restoration, 14cm.

North America This is an uncommon issue of this decorative steel engraved map that features Texas shown with an enlarged panhandle that extends into New Mexico and Colorado. The boundary between Canada and the United States reflects British claims in the Oregon Territory with a line fixing the boundary south of the Columbia River. Mexico is still in control of California and the Southwest. The map is filled with forts and locates many Indian tribes. Alaska is Russian America. Several lovely vignettes appear around the continent, including Wapiti Deer, Beavers, North American Indians, Ancient Monument, Mexico, and Convoy of Diamonds. Across the top are images of Russian Cossacks (representing the Russian Possessions in Alaska), an Eskimo dog sled, and Mount Hekla, Iceland. The map was drawn and engraved by J. Rapkin; the vignettes were drawn by J. Marchant and engraved by J. Rogers. Surrounded by a delicately engraved and decorative border. Original outline color with later coloring in the border and vignettes, minor toning along sheet edges, light soiling, and fold separations at left and right confined to the blank margins. 14"" W x 9.5"" H Tallis, John 1850

MISCELLANEOUS GROUPING OF THREE TIN TOYS. Lot includes 1) Gunthermann hand painted and lithographed tin pool player. Toy is in working order. The figure himself is good to very good with slightly heavier paint loss to head. Lithographed pool table is good with a bit of crustiness to edges. Also includes 2) Marx Crazy Dancer (variation of classic Donald Duck Duet) featuring Goofy and Donald Duck. Overall litho is good to very good and a light cleaning/polishing would enhance this toy. Goofy appears to have replaced cardboard ears. Toy is in working order. 3) Fine early friction toy of boy on sled, most likely made by Scheibel or Dayton. Overall condition is fair. Small figures include three Japanese Santas with pipe cleaner bodies and composition heads, German Santa on wooden sled with basket, two Japanese larger Santas with composition heads and cotton beards and clothing, German Santa on cardboard skis with sack, and a composition faced Santa on snowball with crepe paper clothing. LOT OF THREE SALESMAN SAMPLES. Lot includes two seeders including one from LR Forney patented June 6, 1876. Consisting of a wooden hopper between two cast iron wheels. When pulled along, gear mechanism distributes product. Also includes wood model with iron spoke wheels with gear mechanism that shakes central seed hopper. Third model is a jointed wooden four runner sled with steel hardware. SIZE: Varies. Largest is 18-1/2"" l. CONDITION: Overall very good. Second seeder`s tow bar is detached but present. GRACHEV RUSSIAN BRONZE FIGURAL SLED GROUP Russian Bronze figural group sculpture by Vassili Yacovlevitch Grachev (RUSSIAN, 1831-1905). Depicts a group Troika sled scene. The sled having two men and a woman as passengers while being led by three horses. Next to the sled, planted in the ground, is a versta post numbered 750 and 94. Titled `Milepost`. Signed in Cyrillic with 1877 foundry marks to top of base. Measures 11 1/2" height x 18" length x 11 1/2" width (29.2cm x 45.7cm x 29.2cm).
ZOFIA STAKIEWICZ OIL ON CANVAS OF SLED CHASE SCENE Zofia Stankiewicz (POLISH, 1862-1955) oil painting on canvas depicting a winter horse drawn sled scene. Three horses pull a sled franticly as two Kossacks on the sled defend themselves from a pack of wild timber wolves giving chase behind them. One man can be seen striking one of the beasts with a rifle. `ETMONSKY` title to lower left. Signed to lower right and dated 1907. Measures 15 3/4" height x 20" width + 3 1/2" frame (40cm x 51cm + 8.9cm).
2 Z STANKIEWICZ OIL PAINTINGS ON CANVAS OF CHASES A lot of two unframed Polish oil paintings on canvases depicting winter wolf chase scenes, one of a boy fleeing on horse as the wolves attempt to surround him, the the next of Kossacks seated on a horse drawn sled as wolves approach their horses, one man clutching a pistol to his right hand. Each signed to lower right `Z. Stankiewicz` and dated 1977 and 1979 respectively. Each measures approx. 16" height x 20" width (40.6cm x 50.1cm).
