A One-Man Chinoiserie pattern jug, of Dutch shape with an angular handle and ochre lining to both handle and rim, printed in blue with the chinoiserie scene beneath a typical border, with a different border featuring alternately slanting stiff leaves around inside the rim, height 18.0cm, unmarked, circa 1795-1810. See Coysh & Henrywood 1, page 337, for this basic pattern on a marked teabowl and saucer by Shorthose & Co, another variant is attributed to Minton; the inner border on this jug is similar to one used by Stevenson
