A Scottish mahogany drumhead longcase clock, mid 19th century. Dial 32 cm diameter with eight day striking movement signed Fletcher and Hunter Edinburgh, with Roman numeral chapter ring and subsidiary dials, the case with canted column corners flanking central door over an inset lower panelled base resting on simple bracket feet, regulated by a brass cased weight with iron strap, the two iron weights marked 10 and 12. 207 cm high (see illustration).
