REEL & ACCESSORIES: Fine Abu Cardinal 66 spinning reel, retaining virtually all original green/cream finish, foot stamp 741208, c/w spare spool in tub, handbook and oiler, a collection of early pike floats, an alloy extending salmon gaff with belt clip, rubber grip and a pair of wader hangers.
ROD: Fine Chas. Farlow Maker 191 Strand London 17’ 3 piece plus correct spare tip greenheart salmon fly rod, in fine condition, black whipped O ring guides, copper and silk whipped tie loops to bronze spigot ferrules, bronze tube and sliding ring reel seat, engraved butt cap with red rubber button, fine, in MOB.

ROD & REEL (2): Scarce Abu Ambassadeur 20 big game multiplier reel, one piece alloy frame, free spool, drag adjusters, rod harness clamps and power handle, c/w handbook, oilers and spanner, in maker’s leather case and an Abu Pacific 5080R boat rod, 7’ 2 piece with detachable handle, roller guides throughout, fine, in MOB, a great conger shark and tope outfit.
ROD: Early Hardy CC de France 8’6” 2 piece Palakona, No.E30270, red agate butt/tip guides, burgundy whipped snake intermediates, close whipped throughout, lock fast ferrule, some varnish crazing, 7” cork cigar shaped handle with up screw reel fitting, in maker’s original bag, c/w alloy tube in bag.
TACKLE BOX: Fine wood carryall style tackle box with internal hinged trays, commercially made, brass handle, metal hasp hinges and wooden back stay, opens to reveal various tackle incl. a 2” brass hinged clearing ring, assorted Hardy Crocodile, Swimmer and other baits, leads, Allcock Celebrated Deer Fat tin, Pflueger multiplier reel plus various cast packets, box measures 11”x9.5”x5.5”, front painted with owner’s details Major Timothy Low etc., London, interesting lot.
