16th-18th century AD. A moulded ceramic figurine of an apsara temple dancer with curled hair to the brow, collar with beaded halter, loose split-front skirt draped from the hips, cotton-reel base hollow to the underside. 3.6 kg, 47.5cm (18 3/4"). Property of a gentleman; from a Mayfair, London, UK, gallery. Fair condition, base chipped, one arm absent.
5th-3rd century BC. A gold earring with tapering twisted four-rod hoop and ribbed eye; the finial two reel-shaped collars with beaded wire fillets, two hollow-formed heads with braided hair, curls to the edges. 8.49 grams, 32mm (1 1/4"). Private collection, North London; acquired in the early 1980s. The Dioskouroi were twins, Kastor and Polydeukes, born to Leda after her seduction by Zeus in the form of a swan. The father of Kastor was Leda's husband, king Tyndareus, while Polydeukes was the son of Zeus. They were regarded as two horsemen who appeared to their worshippers, particularly sailors, in times of danger. They were adopted by the Romans under the names Castor and Pollux. Very fine condition.
An air cane with 16 1/2in. reservoir, the screw face engraved 'Cogswell & Harrison, London', complete with two 18in. tap loading rifled barrels, all three pieces with later brass screw-in dust caps, all re-enamelled in brown; complete with pump inscribed 'Cogswell & Harrison, 223 & 224 Strand, London', a foot plate and cocking key also with two reproduction harpoons, a reel of fine cord and a brass and turned wood shot mould, contained in an oak case with re-fitted green baize lined interior, reproduction 'Cogswell & Harrison' label to the underside of the lid.

Each chair having an unusual dome topped cresting rail enriched with a fan of radial fluting above five bobbin turned spindles flanked by plain uprights with lobe cut finials. The planked seats on ball turned legs united by ball & reel turned front stretchers with plain stretchers to the sides and rear.

AUDIO EQUIPMENT - 4 items of audio equipment to include a Cossor CR1604/00 4 track reel to reel player (Made in Austria) in beige, an Armstrong 626 AM/FM receiver serial number 616065, a Technics by Panasonic SA-5070 am/fm stereo receiver (US model, comes in original box with a 240V-120V adaptor for use in the United Kingdom) and a pair of Marsden Hall Annexe 200 speakers in walnut measuring approximately 550x315x255mm. One speaker features a small tear, both are displayed in their original boxes.
RADIO LUXEMBOURG - 22 Billboard's Hot 50 reel 2 reels from 1973 including music from The Beatles and many other big artists and groups from the era. Housed in original Radio Luxembourg boxes. All featuring Voice of America labels, and a loose (unidentified) AGFA-GEVAERT reel. Lot further includes 'Broadcasting from the High Seas' by Paul Harris, Radio Luxembourg 1979 and an issue of Music Week June 7, 1975. All items acquired from an ex Radio Luxembourg employee.

A cased Art Deco, diamond, sapphire and mother-of-pearl dress stud, cufflink and button set,the set comprised of four buttons, a pair of cufflinks and two dress studs, each with an old brilliant cut diamond, milligrain set to a target style border of calibré-cut sapphires and a circular mother-of-pearl disc, with a raised, white bead and reel border. Of angling interest: a Hardy bamboo rod case, 92.5cm long; together with a split cane rod; and an old fishing reel. Condition Report: The name on the rod is 'Hardy Bros'. ROD - 3 x sections are in good order. Base section has damage to cork and reel clip. TUBE - Hardy Bros stamped in black. Leather fixing strap missing. Some wear to outer surface and several minor splits in bamboo casing.
