2003 BMW E46 M3 ConvertibleReg. no. M300 AHHChassis no. WBSBR920101EH78404Engine no. 61022931Transmission: SMGMileage: 94,958MOT: August 2023 The BMW M division have been at the pinnacle of motorsport and performance production cars for decades. Certainly, a fantastic motorsport heritage has worked hand in hand with extensive M car sales worldwide. The initial concept of the E46 M3 began in 1997 and production ran for six years from 2000 – 2006.The E46 was the 3rd generation of the M3 line up and it did not disappoint with its fantastic S54B32 NA straight six engine and muscular body panels that set it aside from other E46 models. Among other German and Japanese cars, with which it competed, it stood out from the crowd. With nearly 340bhp and a redline of 8000rpm, the RWD NA car in coupe and convertible form would accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.1 seconds offering high performance.Despite its performance focus, the interior is a lovely place to be as you would expect from BMW. This particular example has black leather with the door cards and dash having silver accents, which in turn compliment the Titan Silver exterior with black roof. Both interior and exterior remain in very good condition for what is now a 20-year-old car. The car has been a part of a collection for the past six years and has only done 2,000 miles since 2016.Recent work has included a full overhaul of the SMG gearbox which upon inspection required 2nd gear synchro and hub assembly. The front propshaft assembly was also changed, and the SMG system was reprogrammed as well as a new clutch and flywheel package. This work was completed at 93,856miles. The current V5C shows eight previous owners, there are two spare keys, plus a history folder that includes a number of parts and service papers with previous MOT certificates. The M3 registration number is included with the sale of the vehicle.Estimate: £10,000 – 12,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU. Viewing is welcome prior to sale and all cars are sold as seen, condition reports can be requested on each lot by contacting us direct. Lots are not available to buy prior to auction. Fully illustrated catalogue is available on the Richard Edmonds Auction website. Bids can be made online, by telephone or live on site. All lots are subject to commission.Vehicles that are un-registered or on foreign plates may require Import Duty and Vat to be paid upon purchase via HMRC prior to registering with the DVLA for a UK plate, if you are not sure please ask. For classic cars over 30 years this equates to 5% Duty on the final value.
