A collection of eight assorted vintage Prattware pot lids. Including The Sportsman, Peace and Transplanting Rice, etc. Max. diameter 12cm Condition Report: 'Country Quarters' has some small chips to the interior rim. 'Transplanting Rice' has a chip to the rim which has been repaired. 'A Pair' has some hairline cracks and chips to the interior. 'The Trooper' has some interior chips and spots of pitting. 'Peace' has some interior chips and one to the edge (most appear to be pre-glazing. 'The Sportsman' has a large hairline crack and a small chip to the interior. 'The Village Wedding' has been badly broken and repaired. All show signs of general wear including scratches and rubbing consistent with age and usage. All have some crazing. Colours bright.

Yorkshire Prattware money box, probably Mexborough, circa 1840, inscribed 'Sarah. D. Brumwer Linshire (sic)', decorated in bright colours, height 17.5cm, width 15.5cm (Please note condition does not form part of the catalogue description. We believe there to be some restoration to the black rim of the chimney pot to the right hand side. There are small nibbles at the back of the same chimney pot. There is crazing to the white walls throughout. Small chip to the roof edge at the back right hand corner. Firing crack to the rear left hand corner, running vertically approx. 5cm. Both back ball feet are restored replacements with associated over painting on the underside of the base.

The forearm on the left hand figure has probably been off and restuck, with some overpainting. Elsewhere there are tiny chips to the points of the crowns. Minute nibbles to the base. Some restoration to the top edge of the cup back and to the cornice. This is of a professional quality.
Rare dated Yorkshire Prattware money box, probably Mexborough, inscribed to the fascia 'J Schofield born 13th April 1847', decorated throughout in bright colours, height 17cm, width 16.5cm (Please note condition does not form part of the catalogue description. We strongly advise viewing to satsify yourself as to condition. If you are unable to view and a condition report is not already available, please ask for one and it will be provided in writing). Overall condition is very good. Crazing visible throughout the white wall areas. Minor and minute glaze flakes. The rear left ball foot is a restored replacement and the immediate surrounding area is restored, with overpainting on the underside around the ball foot. Some minor nibbles on the inside edge of the slot.

Glaze chip to the tip of the chimney and a tiny glaze flake just beneath the chimney. Chips to the front left and right edges of the base. Small chip to the slot at the back. Three chips to the base of the left hand figure. There is crazing visible throughout the white walls.

Eight pieces of 19th century and later Prattware. Comprising a Wouvermann Pinx pot and lid, a 'The Wolf and Lamb' pot lid, 'The Residence of Anne Hathaway' lid and more. Max. diameter 12cm Condition Report: The ruined abbey lid has chips to the interior. 'The Wolf and The Lamb' has hairline cracks and chips to the interior and exterior rims. 'The Residence of Anne Hathaway' has some chips to the inner rim (one has been repaired). 'J. Austin' has some interior chips (pre-glazing) and possible discolouration. 'P. Wouvermann' has been broken and poorly repaired with a large chip. The architectural lid has multiple large chips and hairline cracks. The inner rim of 'Wouvermann' has been chipped and repaired. Horse scene has a small chip to the inner rim, the base has two large chips to the rim. All have some crazing and slight discolouration. General wear including rubbing and scratches consistent with age and usage. Colours bright. Would benefit from a clean.
