A Meissen figure titled 'The Racegoer', late 19th century, modelled as a gentleman with tri-corn hat, turquoise overcoat and breeches stood before a tree trunk holding a spyglass to his eye and holding a walking cane, upon a rococo style scroll base, gilt highlights, under glaze blue crossed swords and incised 'D65' to underside, 20cm high, along with a continental porcelain dish, 20th century, decorated in the manner of James Giles, the handle modelled as a branch, shaped rim, under glaze blue crossed batons and impressed '49' to base, 19.5cm wide (2) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The Racegoer shows a crude repair to the left hand wrist and further restoration to the left arm and shoulder and left hip. Both wrists show nibbles to the cuff details. The foot rim shows a chip to the front edge. The gilt highlights show rubbing throughout. The cane is probably later associated.The dish shows a firing crack at one terminal of the handle, and a further firing crack to the rim. The upper surface shows various small firing pits.

A Suffragette bronze of a female campaigner, first half 20th century, modelled wearing an overcoat with a padlock on chain protruding from her coat pocket, inscribed to plinth base 'Votes for Women'32cm highThe model is cast in bronze and has both the weight and patina to support this. There is a crack and small hole to the back of her head, possibly a casting defect. It is difficult to date, but it is not contemporary to the Suffragette movement, neither is it new - most likely cast in the first half of the 20th century.

V.A.D.) officially re-impressed naming; together with the recipient’s South African Military Nursing Service lapel badge; a pair of Nursing Service shoulder boards; and three lapel badges, for Navy War Fund, South African Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John, very fine £70-£90 --- Olive Sidney Grobler, née Chew, was born in India on 6 September 1886 and, following the death of both her parents, was sent to live with her uncle, Dr. William Roger Chew, in Grahamstown, South Africa. Following nursing training in Port Elizabeth, she was sent to England and served with the Voluntary Aid Detachment during the Great War on the Western Front. According to family tradition, Miss Chew was shipwrecked when the troopship R.M.S. Kenilworth Castle collided with H.M.S. Rival off the Eddystone Lighthouse on 4 June 1918; 15 crew members were drowned and the ship was badly damaged, but Miss Chew survived, dressed in only her night-dress and an overcoat. This account has not been confirmed, however. Returning to South Africa, Miss Chew completed her training at Johannesburg General Hospital, and subsequently married J. N. Grobler on 2 February 1926. They had one daughter together, Eugene Mary Grobler. Olive Grobler died on 25 December 1962. Sold with a photographic image of the recipient. MEN IN BLACK II (2002) - Pineal Eye (Kevin Grevioux) SFX Makeup Bust - A Pineal Eye (Kevin Grevioux) SFX makeup bust from the production of Barry Sonnenfeld's Men in Black II. Serleena (Lara Flynn Boyle) freed Pineal Eye from MIB HQ in exchange for his help locating the Light of Zartha. Created by alien makeup effects artist Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios, this foam bust is affixed with a foam latex cowl hand-painted brown and pink, inset with a plastic third eye, and dressed with segments of a red leatherette overcoat and black cotton shirt. A production tag on the overcoat is hand-marked "3rd Eye Guy" with demolding date "6.22.01." It exhibits peeling latex on the chin, brow, and third eye. In the Series 4 finale "The Blood Line," Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) shot Jack to help restore death and ultimately help the Captain regain his immortality.This lot consists of a navy blue Di Stefano overcoat made of cupro bemberg, a proprietary rayon composite; a light blue fabric blend Di Stefano button-up shirt; and a white cotton undershirt. The overcoat features six gold-color buttons on front and on the sleeves, a cinching buckle on the back, rank stripes on the shoulders, and a production tag labeled "John Barrowman"' with order number "DS-3899" on the interior. Signed by Cumberbatch in black ink to a clear area of the background. An ink annotation in the hand of a collector to the verso indicates that the signature was obtained in person following a performance of Frankenstein at the Royal National Theatre in London, February 2011. From the collection of an London antiquarian, 1980s.Accompanied by an academic paper by military specialist Dr Raffaele D'Amato, dated 4th May 2022 and titled 'Roman Res Publica - Lead Slingshots (glandes) of Caesarian Age - 45 B.C circa'.Accompanied by a printed copy of the Spanish cultural export licence 2022/07273.The shot (type IIb of the Völling classification) is marked with the abbreviated name of Julius Caesar; it was used in quantity at the Battle of Monda (or Munda) against the last fellows of Pompey, the leaders of the Optimates, on the 17th March 45 BC. Similar shots were used in the Caesar's wars. The slingers of Caesar's age were part of the light infantry. Caesar speaks of his Balearic slingers during the conquest of Gaul. They wore a short tunic, with leather or rope sandals to the feet, and a warm overcoat which could also have been used to store projectiles. They also used a satchel to carry very deadly lead-like stones or bullets. [No Reserve]

A pair of US Civil War soldier carte de visites. First is an unnamed union soldier with rare calvary kepi style, crossed swords patch sewn on and m1860 sword and riding leather trouser covers. On the back is the logo for Moore Bros Photographic Gallery in Springfield, Massachusetts. Second is a photo of corporal Albro Weir in full uniform of overcoat and striped pants, 25th Regiment, Conn volunteers, Company D. Discharged August, 26, 1863. On the back is the logo for Bartlett and Webster Photographers, Hartford, Connecticut. Approximate Dimensions:Each photo: h. 4", w. 2.5"Condition:Each CDV is in very good condition with minor wear and staining on the back. The CDV of Corporal Weir has his name written on the back.
