Three various Japanese card matchboxes, to include Turkish Bath Hotel, another for Eldn, and another. By vendor repute to have been present during the release of the Hiroshima bomb, thus surviving the blast in 1945, which helped end war between Japan and America and ultimately helping to end the Second World War. It is believed the pieces were handmade matches circa 1935.
An early 20thC Japanese black lacquer wall hanging, decorated with chickens, on a naturalistic ground, predominantly in black and red, set with flower heads in a wooden surround, 33cm high, 60cm wide, 3cm deep, a miniature selection of Chinese drawings of cats, probably pencil on paper, Japanese block print of a samurai, quarter profile, signed, and another, full length with spider.
