Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co Cymric silver and enamel vesta case Hallmarked for William Hair Haseler, Birmingham, 1921 of rectangular form, the front with raised circular quatrefoil and enamel circular boss in blue and green enamel, on engine-turned decoration, the hinged cover opening to reveal gilt interior, suspension ring, 1.65in. (4.2cm.) high, weight 0.70 tr.oz. *Very good condition, very light surface wear, nothing else to note.

An Art Nouveau Silver and Enamel Pendant, by William Hair Haseler supplier to Liberty & Co., design attributed to Archibald Knox, the shield motif enamelled centrally in blue and green, suspended by a plain polished bale measures 4.5cm by 3.0cm The pendant is in tarnishing and slight enamel loss commensurate with age and wear. It is hallmarked with maker's mark 'WHH', Birmingham, 1905. It has also been etched to the reverse 'APRIL 3RD 1912 E+N'. Gross weight 8.1 grams. CR made 01.08.23.

The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a small split to the rim. The material inside with some wear and fading.

Liberty & Co 'English Pewter' - A small collection of early 20th Century pieces to include; a tall hot water pot, pewter handle, with hinged top and stylised Art Nouveau design, pattern no. 0281 and marked "Solkets" for the designer William Hair Haseler. A similar tall pewter hot water pot, cane handle and stylised Art Nouveau design, no. 0280 and marked "English pewter Made By Liberty & Co", and along with a smaller handled hot milk jug, hinged cover and cane handle, with same stylised design, marked "English Pewter, 0195" to base. (3) Tallest approx. 20.5cm high. Further Details: Signs of wear, tarnishing and scuffs to exteriors commensurate to age and usage, slight denting/misshaping in parts. Some slight damage to cane handle to one hot water pot.

A George V silver three-piece tea set, mark of William Hair Haseler Ltd., Birmingham 1913, the teapot of oval fluted form with panelled side, part marked hinged and domed cover similarly decorated, topped with a brown finial, brown handle, the milk jug and 2 handled sugar bowl to match, 16.5ozt gross (3)William Hair Haseler is a silversmith with strong connections to Liberty & Company. W. H. Haseler & Co. was founded in 1870, and in 1898 they went into partnership with Liberty. Liberty's range of jewellery and silver was launched the following year under the trade name of 'Cymric', manufactured by the new subsidiary company known as Liberty & Co. (Cymric) Ltd, directed by William Hair Haseler and Frank Haseler, with J.H. Howe and John Llewellyn of Liberty's. Haseler produced most of the pieces from their Birmingham workshop.In 1901, Haseler sold most of their plant and premises in return for £200 worth of shares in Liberty & Co., allowing him, amongst other things, to market some Liberty designs as his own. The partnership between the firms continued until 1926.Pieces by W.H.Haseler are now highly sought-after by collectors. Most, such as this example, were assayed in Birmingham, and bear the maker’s marks ‘W.H.H’
A LARGE VICTORIAN SILVER EWER by Edward John Haseler & Noble Haseler, Birmingham 1894, the partially reeded ovoid body chased with fruiting vine and laurel wreath framing a vacant cartouche, the neck flat-chased with scrollwork border, the hinged cover with bunch of grapes finial, raised on a domed reeded foot, the angular handle with leaf-form mount. 35cm high, 37.8 troy ouncesThe marks are clear and well-struck. No personalised engraving or evidence of erasure/thinning. Stands upright and does not wobble.Of good quality and generally in very good condition.

A set of four Edwardian Arts and Crafts silver and enamel buttons, William Hair Haseler, Birmingham 1906 probably for Liberty and Co, the circular foliate swirl decorated button with green and blue enamelled highlights, 2.5cm diameter, gross weight 20gms (4) (at fault)Condition report; Small localised areas of enamel loss to the surface of each button commensurate with age. The silver surface is tarnished and appears pewter like in colour - could benefit from a clean. Hallmarks all clean. Reverse of one button with blemishes and fine pitting.

Bottom stone with an absence of fire between 9pm and 11pm.Very tarnished giving a pewter type patina. Some surface scratching and wear throughout. No obvious losses evident. Crudely later additional wire links added to one side of bolt ring fastening. Clasp possibly a later replacement. Line of doublet clearly visible when viewed from the side
