An Edwardian novelty miniature tambourine by William Hair Haseler, Birmingham 1907, of circular form with articulated cymbals, central panel marked with the 'Crest of Harrogate', 6.3cm diameter, weight 28.9gmsCondition Report; Overall condition is good. Moderate amount of denting and light misshaping to the silver border and the cymbals. No splitting or signs of repair. Hallmarks are moderately worn, but are still legible. Central panel is in good order, no splitting, chips or major losses. Some scratching and small areas of loss and wear to the central crest. The piece shows general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use.
Bernard Cuzner. A silver spoon with hammered heart-shaped bowl and stem, the foliate intertwined finial (a/f) terminating in an amethyst cabochon. Maker's mark: BC (Bernard Cuzner), Birmingham, 1905. 30 grams. * Bernard Cuzner (1877-1956) teacher and designer from the early 1900s, he became Head of the Department of Metalwork at the Birmingham School of Art in 1910. He was influenced in his early career by Cattermole-Smith and Gaskin. He was also a designer for W.H. Haseler and Liberty from very early in his career, author of the "Silversmith's Manual" first published in 1935 and again in 1949 with numerous reprints and an important contributor to Arts and Crafts flatware.

An Art & Crafts Enamel Necklace, by William Hair Haseler, Attributed to Jessie M. King design, circa 1900, the central plaque suspends a T-shaped drop surmounted by pairs of chains linked to a clover motif, enamelled throughout in blue and green, on a trace link chain, pedant length 9.0cm, pendant width 6.5cm, chain length 44.5cm see illustration The design is in the Liberty Pattern Book, model 8809. The necklace is in good condition with ever so slight enamel losses and it has been re-enamelled. It fastens with a bolt ring catch. The reverse of the pendant is stamped with maker's mark ' WHH' for William Hair Haseler and stamped 'SILVER'. In our opinion it would test as silver. Gross weight 15.2 grams. CR made 01.02.21
