Tank Corps Trench Art: A fine trench art model of a WW1 'F' Bn Tank 'Fearnaught'. Large heavy model made of copper & brass as an oil lamp. Well constructed 10cm high, 10cm wide, and 13cm long. Copper plates stamped 'Fear Naught' and 'Tank Corps'. Two 1918 pennies used as wheels. Vickers m/gun to front. Ditching bar acts as a flame snuffer. A super piece of original trench art, solid, heavy and well constructed.
BWM & Victory Medals named Capt N Jones. (with a impressed 'MC' after Jones). Served Cam'n Highlanders. Entitled to the Military Cross and Bar. MC L/G 18/6/1917 "At a critical period he showed great dash and initiative in leading his men to the final assault on the village. His prompt action and grasp of the situation contributed much to the success of the attack". The Bar is L/G 15th Oct 1918 "He led his men splendidly, and finding a party in front held up by a machine gun, he at once dashed forward and killed the gunner, the remainder of the team being taken prisoners. He showed the greatest coolness and courage throughout the day, and his grand handling of his company helped the success of the operation". Lived Coatbridge, Scotland. (2)

A pair of WWII Second World War brass drill artillery training cartridges / shells, each containing 3 leather charge bags and a leather bung, believed to be used for soldier's to practice the selection of the correct charge before loading them into a 25 Powder gun. Both casings are marked ' DRILL 1944 ' to the bases and both have leather bungs marked ' 25 PR DRILL B&C Co '. Measures approx 29cm tall..
HMS Foudroyant - Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship from 1799-1801. Original walking stick topper / knop, made of copper, with notation ' Foudroyant - Nelson's Flagship - Oak & Copper From Vessel After Breaking Up '. One side depicts and image of Nelson, with his birth and death dates, and the other side depicting the ship with its dates also. The knop measures approx; 5.5cm tall. The oak walking stick sadly no longer present. HMS Foudroyant was an 80-gun third rate of the Royal Navy, one of only two British-built 80-gun ships of the period (the other was HMS Caesar. Foudroyant was built in the dockyard at Plymouth Dock (a.k.a. Devonport) and launched on 31 March 1798. Foudroyant served Nelson as his flagship from 6 June 1799 until the end of June 1801.

AN M G CORPS CASUALTY PAIR & PRESENTATION WATCH 1917. British War & Victory medals named to 102653 Pte H R Meager MGC. A silver wristwatch with inscribed reverse, 'Presented to H R Meager by the staff Allen Strong & Co Ltd March 1917.'. In working order, with some loss of luminous paint to the numbers on the face. Horace Rueben Meager was the son of Mr & Mrs Thomas Meager, husband of Dorothy Clara Meager of 70 Barclay Road, Leytonstone, London. He was Killed in Action on the 19th October 1918 serving with the 1st Battalion Machine Gun Corps, aged 30. Buried in The Highland Cemetery, Le Cateau.
A FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN. A Flintlock Sporting Gun with an early barrel bearing H A? indistinct makers initials and proof marks. Consisting of a Crown over 'V' and a Crown over 'P', on the 42" round barrel. Fullstocked with wooden ramrod present, brass furniture and buttplate. Having an interesting lock and action, in the continental style, some 57.1/2" overall length. There has been a repair to a small section of the stock, the action in working order.
