Waltham Vanguard Royal Navy inter war period issued deck watch. Circa 1927 manufacture date. White dial with Arabic numerals, and subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock position. Marked ‘Waltham USA Vanguard 23 Jewels 6614’ plus a broad arrow mark. Nickel case with screw off back, with this also being broad arrow marked and having the code ‘H.S.3’ which would indicate that it is a deck watch. Movement marked with serial number 26223723. Dennison mark to the inside of the back cover. Condition: generally good. Clean dial with minuscule hairline between the 11 and 12 (about 3mm length). A little rubbing to the manufacturer details and broad arrow to the face. Case in clean condition and just light service wear. Both the glass and back cover unscrew without issue. When wound, the watch would appear to run correctly, but this is by no means a guarantee.
