British military pocket watch by H.Williamson Limited. Marked “PW’ and a broad arrow to the back case, which would indicate it being issued to the Royal Navy c.1914. With white porcelain dial, Romal numerals, and subsidiary dial at the 6 o’clock position. Marked with the manufacturers named under the 12, along with the issue number 186398. 7 jewel movement housed within a screw back Dennison case. Approximately 5.8cm across. Condition: generally good, with a little service wear. The case is good, with just normal service patina, and a small scratch to the back case at around the 2 o’clock position. Some ‘fleabite’ chipping to the bevelled edge of the glass front. Movement and inside of back cover clean. The watch would appear to wind and work as it should. Omega Automatic 1956 Version Military RAF Pilots/Navigators Watch Face from WW2. Re-cased and dialed by the MoD when re-issued in 1956. In 1956 when Britiain's Ministry of Defense "M.O.D." needed to supply watches to R.A.F Pilots and navigators they went to the surplus stock of wrist watches from WWII. In 1956 there was a surplus of Omega Calibre 30T-SC movements available. The original WW2 issued watches were modififed and re-issued to the RAF by the Ministry of Defence, with the cheaper wartime alloy casings replaced with a larger, stainless steel, screwback, waterproof case, supplied by famous British case marker 'Dennison@. The original dials were also changed when the watches were recased by the MoD. These watches are commonly referred to by their RAF stores reference number of A.M 6B/159. This RAF stores reference refers to aircraft navigation equipment. The Stainless Steel Screw Back is marked "A.M" for Air Ministry. It is also hallmarked 6B/159. The Serial Number is 4835/56. The watch face measures approx. 40mm including winder. Condition: The watch was working at time of testing.
J.W. Benson London Sterling Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch in original box. The Pocket Watch has "J.W. BENSON LONDON" written in black lettering on the dial and "SWISS MADE" on the bottom of the dial. The Pocket Watch is hallmarked with the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the Lion Passant mark for Sterling Silver and the date letter "J" for 1933 and the makers marks "A.L.D" for Dennison Watch Case Company. The Pocket Watch has blue enamelled Roman Numerals around the centre glass on the front of the watch. The Pocket Watch measures from top to bottom approx. 2 3/4 inches and approx. 2 inches across. Total gross weight of the Pocket Watch is approx. 103.1 grams. The Pocket watch is in good condition commensurate with the age of the Pocket watch.
