Edward VII 1897 Pattern Sword and Associated Items Attributed to Lt Col C E C Bartlett, MC, 1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment, the sword is complete with the leather covered field service scabbard. Grip retains the original wire. Blade is well worn with much of the etching now missing. WKC mark to the base of the blade. Accompanied by EPNS tankard presented by the Singapore Polo Club, October 1921, Hallmarked Silver christening cup presented by the warrant officers and sergeants of B company 1st battalion South Staffordshire regiment, October 1925 and a small polished wood cigar / cigarette box with mother of pearl inset regimental cap badge and name plaque to the lid. Early lighter, cigar cutter, travelling cup, travelling inkwell, horn knife, cutlery, etc CONDITION REPORT: All cutlery in lot is dirty and rusty Woven basket coming away and is in poor condition Inkwell is dirty but opening function works well Possible candle is dented to oneholder but otherwise ok PAIR OF KNIFE AND FORK Knife 19.5cm Fork 16.5cm Knife and fork in fairly good condition, the metal collar nicely set into the wood handle, nicks and bumps to metal, particularly top rings of knife and fork. The wooden handles with inset metal (raised) pin heads. Crack to side of knife handle c 2.5cm Impressed (?trident) or crown mark to blade of knife with a circle below. The round topped blade has small nicks to the edges particularly at the top edge. There is no apparent mark to the fork, they appear to be a pair.
