^ Scarce Georgian Naval Officer’s Dirk c.1790, straight double edge blade cut with a central fuller, gilt copper mounts, 2 piece fluted ivory grips with ‘cigar band’ engraved with crowned fouled anchor within roped surround, stepped cushion-shaped pommel, propeller-shaped crosspiece, in its copper mounted leather sheath with twin hanging rings. Blade 41cms, overall 56.5cms. Good condition, age worn overall, traces of original gilding, chape missing.

^ Irish Presentation Infantry Officer’s Sword Spadroon of the 3rd Royal Dublin Volunteers, 1797, straight diamond-section blade, iron hilt, sideguard pierced and engraved with crowned Irish harp supported by a pair of cannon on carriages, side loop and quillon terminal both with decorative applied studs, facetted pommel, chequered ivory grip with large silver ‘cigar band’ engraved in script ‘Presented to Captn. H.A.Woodward by the Genn. of his Compy as a Small Token of their respect and Esteem for him’ and on the reverse ‘3rd Regt of Royal Dubn Volu. or Barrack Devis,n and 4th Comp.y Dec,r 7th 97’. Overall 97cms, blade 81cms. Generally good untouched condition, blade and hilt lightly pitted and age worn with a few small pieces missing from edges of blade.
