A Victorian Silver Combination Cheroot-Case, Vesta-Case and Lighter, by Henry William Dee, London, 1870, Retailed by Jones, 23 Boulevard des Capucines oblong and with rounded base, with an overall engine-turned finish, with various hinged covers and a tinder tube with rotating cog, engraved with initials98mm high, gross weight 9oz 17dwt, 120grProvenance: Tennants, 22 November 2007, lot 490.The design for this box was registered by Henry William Dee and Louis Dee of 8 Sherwood Street London on 21 March 1868 as design number 4940. The original entry describes it as 'cigarette or cigar case with tinder tube and match box'.Fully marked inside and further part marked on covers. Engraved inside one cover with retailer's name and further engraved 'Registered 21st March 1868'. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use as well as some bruising to the lower body with corresponding loss to the engine-turned decoration.
An Elizabeth II Silver Cigar-Cutter, by Alfred Dunhill and Sons, London, 1960, 9ct shaped oval and with an overall textured finish, with suspension loop32mm highFully marked on front and further part marked on back. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some minor corrosion to the metal attachments. The gross weight, including the blade is 21gr.

Also hallmarked inside lid and bale is stamped with lion passant. Total length approx. 8.5cm and weighs approx. 15.8g.

HEAVYWEIGHT BOXERS: A good signed colour 8 x 10 photograph by both Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier individually, the image depicting the two World Heavyweight Champions in head and shoulders poses together, each wearing their red boxing gloves, accompanied by boxing promoter Don King who stands in the immediate background with a lit cigar in one hand. Signed by Ali, Frazier and King with their names alone in bold black inks to largely clear areas of the image. VG

MCCAY WINSOR: (c.1866/71-1934) American cartoonist and animator, remembered for the comic strip Little Nemo (1905-14, 1924-26) and the animated film Gertie the Dinosaur (1914). A good original black pen and ink drawing signed by McCay, one page, oblong 8vo, n.p., n.d. Within a black bordered box McCay has drawn an ink sketch (with feint pencil lines beneath) of the cigar smoking clown Flip, companion of Nemo, in a head and shoulders pose wearing his top hat.
