18TH CENTURY OAK BUREAU, later carved with acanthus leaves and portrait medallions to the top fall and drawer fronts, stepped fitted interior with well slide, pierced brass escutcheon, 104h x 89w x 50cms, along with a Victorian walnut oval table, 104cms long (one pillar replaced with chair leg), and an Edwardian mahogany and marquetry corner chair (3)

Jones of Dublin, mid Victorian carved walnut Irish throne chair, carved arched back with a castle turret and stag over a harp, surrounded by oak leaves, flanked either side by a knights head. Original floral upholstered back over carved Deerhound arm rests, one standing the other laying raised on large out swept paw feet. Rear crest of chair marked Jones of Dublin and dated 1850, 145cm high, 76cm wide, 80cm deep. Note: This throne chair was probably part of a large suite of furniture made of Irish bog yew or oak, by Arthur J Jones and Son of Dublin for The Great Exhibition held in London, in 1851. The carved decoration of a harp, oak leaves, stag and Irish Wolfhounds was designed and decorated to illustrate the history, antiquities, animals and vegetation of Ireland.CONDITION REPORT:Irish Throne chair, bog oak/yew is in good all round condition. Upholstery - seat has been replaced, back damaged, incomplete, rear of chair torn and incomplete.There is a chip of wood missing from the turret. The carved Irish wolfhound sitting, there is a repair/split across one foot which would suggest this has been damaged and repaired. On the back of the carved hounds there is minor splits along the joins.The frieze of the chair has some minor splits and there is some chips to the carved oak leaves and a chip to the front right hand foot.

19th century French carved walnut bergère chair, raised on carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaf knees, 70cm wide, 60cm deep, 73cm high.CONDITION REPORT:The bergere chair is structurally sound and in good condition. The fabric is discoloured and threadbare in places. The two back legs have some nibbles right at the foot, white wood showing. See additional images.
