Fife, Auchmuty Mill, Fife Herald, Scottish poetry Album of poems printed on single pieces of paper and pasted recto only into an octavo volume, some with printed notation "For the Fife Herald", many with pseudonyms or initials, some identified, including J.J. Bagatelle, Corncraik [D. Molysen], Dr.Gillespie, R [Henry Scott Riddle], Delta [David Arnott], Theta [of Kennoway], William Graham, several dated 1823-25,and some poems cut from a newspaper, probably the Fife Herald, contemporary calf, worn, upper cover detached Provenance: Wm. Tullis, Auchmuty Mill Note: Auchmuty paper mill was erected by Robert Tullis and Co. as a four vat mill and began working in May 1810. It is possible that the sheets of paper were used as specimens to show propsective clients.
