BRADY IAN: (1938- ) Scottish Criminal, an associate of Myra Hindley in the Moors Murders of the 1960s. A.L.S., I S Brady, two pages, 4to, Ashworth Hospital, Liverpool, 7th June 2006, to Sarah Murphy. Brady writes a long, detailed letter in which he expresses his disgust at Tony Blair and George Bush for the actions in the Iraq War, `Serial killers at least count their victims. The Blair government openly admits that it doesn`t bother to compile-even to the nearest hundred thousand-the number of men, women and children its illegal invasion of Iraq has killed, cripple, maimed or tortured.` Further in the letter Brady refers to his prison life, `In this politically force fed by nasal tube hunger strike now in its seventh year, I`ve made no demands, no requests, other than the wish to exit. I expect and ask nothing from this system, which is merely a job creation scheme for the otherwise unemployable and unambitious and ungifted.` Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Brady and signed by him with initials to the verso, and a printed slip inserted by Ashworth Hospital stating that the contents were inspected under the Mental Health Act, 1983.
