There is a very minor nick to the tip of the egg, the pig figure is in good condition and the ashtrays and paperweights are in good condition, there are slight surface scratches to all otherwise good overall condition

A cigar butt smoked by Sir Winston Churchill, A Wartime era vestigial cigar butt, believed to have been smoked by the then prime minister onboard his mobile war office that was one of the Semi Royal Pullman rail carriages commandeered during WWIIProvenance:The previous owner had worked for many years for British Rail in the re-silver and nickel plating of fixtures used in the various carriages of the then-large fleet. In 1953, headquarters contacted him with a request to refurbish items in the requisitioned carriage. The butt was found discarded in the ashtray of the Pullman. It remained undiscovered until the previous owner dismantled the ashtray, and discovered the butt nestled in the ash pit section of the receptacle. The lot is accompanied by a recorded sound file from the previous owner during his lifetime explaining the circumstances of its acquisition.

To include a cart-wheel penny countermarked HK, George II farthing, various other Georgian copper coins, a Victorian Gothic florin, three various sixpences, a threepence, Napoleon III 2 franc, 1861 half dime, 1934 dime, Napoleon III ten centimes and an ashtray with inset Republica De Colombia 1921 G.12.500 and two other coins. Roland Morris was a well known maritime archeologist, historian, writer and entrepreneur based in Cornwall, particularly Penzance. His most famous discovery was the wreck of the Association also working on other major wrecks around the Cornish coast. He also opened the Admiral Benbow a much celebrated pub filled with nautical themed decoration.
