Large hardcover Quarto bound in slightly worn red cloth boards, with bevelled edges and 662 pages. Gilt titles with decorative design and gilt motif of Stanley on the front board, and gilt titles to the spine. Head and heal are bumped with wear along the top and bottom edges, corners and along the spine.
Illustrated throughout with chromolithograph plates, some foxing to edges of frontispiece with all other illustrations being in very good condition. All edges gilt and hinges still strong but starting to crack and binding tight. A large volume, see full sized pencil for scale. Very clean text block with only minor foxing.
