Keulemans, many heightened with gum arabic, without the 'Notes for the Binder' slip, some spotting to to text, and approximately 10 plates, full dark maroon morocco gilt by Maltby of Oxford, sides with elaborately tooled borders enclosed a central 'sunburst' design enclosing title 'Sun-Birds', spine tooled in 6 compartments within raised bands, gilt dentelles, front free endpaper re-attached with tape [Nissen IVB 873; Fine Bird Books, p.108; Wood, p.566; Zimmer, p.588], 4to (318mm. x 240mm.), by the Author, 1876-80 Footnotes: Provenance: Alfred Tramell, bookplate (scuffed); Birch Bernstein, bookplate.
