Start Price: EUR 450 Zustand: (3/-)F.H. 66 Cinema Film Projector, c. 1950Frieseke & Hoepfner, Erlangen, Germany. Cinema theater machine for 1200-meter reels in two fireproof drums, driven by motor or hand crank, light tone scanning, bright projection lens, xenon lamp in the lamp house with a large concave mirror, height 2 m, width 1.4 m, electrical functions untested. - Note: The F.H. 66 is considered one of the most elegant European film projectors in terms of its design. At the market launch, the trade press reported: "The new projector is not one of the usual metal boxes. It is more like a sculpture by the sculptor Henry Moore." Alone due to its size, it is an eye-catcher in the foyer of a cinema, film or technical museum. Start Price: EUR 450 Condition: (3/-)

Start Price: EUR 600 Zustand: (3-/3-)Ernon IV Film Projector, c. 1932Zeiss Ikon, Dresden. Cinema theater machine for 35mm films on 600-meter spools in fire-protection drums, with spring-drive or hand-turned Maltese cross mechanism, oil level indicator and tachometer on the projection head for displaying frames per second and footage played, Busch Neo-Kino 95 mm lens, separate Zeiss Ikon light tone device with flywheel stabilizer, special carbon arc lamp in the Zeiss Ikon lamp house with versatile adjustment and large concave mirror, marked on the back: "Jovo-Automatik III high-performance lamp" and "Jovo-Apparatebau, Bad Frankenhausen", leather transmission straps not present but easily obtained, height 1,95 m, width 1.2 m, electrical functions not tested. - Note: The burning of the carbon rods usually required permanent manual readjustment, however on this arc lamp a winding spring mechanism (still working) takes over the feed. Start Price: EUR 600 Condition: (3-/3-)

Los 213

Seltene Projektorkonstruktion. Elektrische Funktion nicht geprüft. Start Price: EUR 700 Zustand: (2/2)Hahn-Goerz Home Cinema, c. 1923Hahn-Goerz, Kassel, Germany. Tabletop cinematograph for 35mm film on 250-meter spools (film fragments on one spool), hand-turned Maltese cross mechanism and low-voltage lamp in the gearbox housing, electrical functions unchecked. - Note: In standard projectors of the period, the film strip runs vertically in front of the lamp, behind the image window and optics. Numerous deflection and toothed rollers are necessary for this and their operation places high demands on the projector. The Hahn-Goerz home cinema's horizontal film path allows for easier loading, with the result, however, that the image would be projected onto the ceiling. To avoid this, the designer of this projector placed a reflecting prism between the image window and the lens. Rare projector construction. Start Price: EUR 700 Condition: (2/2)

Start Price: EUR 900 Zustand: (3/3)Hahn-Goerz (Zeiss Ikon) Film Projector, c. 1926Hahn-Goerz, Kassel, Germany. Cinema projector of the silent film era for 35mm films on spools in 600-meter fireproof drums, with hand-turned or motorized Maltese cross mechanism, front panel opening according to the centrifugal principle, illuminated by carbon arc lamp in breather housing, Bauer arc lamp, condenser and cuvette for distilled water on the lamp housing to cool the film light, mounted on a steel column, height 1.7 m, width 1.1 m, projection head and lamp housing in need of adjustment, motor working, electrical functions not tested. - Note: In 1926 the Zeiss Ikon AG in Dresden was created through the merger of several companies. The Hahn-Goerz company joined Zeiss Ikon group and started producing under the Zeiss Ikon name the following year. During the transitional period, projectors of this type continued to be used due to the large number of existing Hahn-Goerz parts. This explains why the lamp house and the fire protection drums are provided with the Hahn-Goerz logo while "Zeiss Ikon" is found on the steel column. Start Price: EUR 900 Condition: (3/3)

An original 1998 Don Post Studios display statue commemorating the character "R2-D2" as portrayed and operated by Kenny Baker in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (Lucasfilm Ltd., 1977). This full-scale model is composed of a blue, white, and silver-tone fiberglass material with some metal component pieces. Near the character's feet, various rubber hose elements are present. This life-size figure features an illuminating processor state indicator, holographic projector, and radar eye. Hand-painted grime and dirt elements are present throughout the figure. The base that the character rests on is composed of a wooden particle board material. The character R2-D2 was first introduced in A New Hope as the lovable astromech droid who is often seen alongside the protocol droid C-3PO. This figure was created just one year prior to the highly-anticipated release of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (Lucasfilm Ltd, 1999), where we would be reintroduced to many beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy.  A Don Post Studios plaque at the base of the figure reads, "R2-D2/ Limited Edition Prop Replica/ 031/ as seen used in The/ Star Wars/ Trilogy." 40 x 37.25 x 44.5 inchesPROVENANCE Lot 442, "Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction 2017," Prop Store, September 26, 2003.
