Oberstleutnant Georg Kraut (1870 - 1964), Adjutant von Lettow-Vorbeck - über 550 koloniale Glasdias mit Projektor Holzbox mit ca. 190 Farbdias aus Ostafrika (Maße ca. 9 x 9 cm). Pappbox mit über 90 Dias (ca. 50 farbig, ca. 8 x 8 cm) Ostafrika. Sechs S-W-Positive (ca. 8 x 10 cm) in alter Diaschachtel, dabei Lettow-Vorbeck und Kraut. Pappbox mit 27 S-W-Positiven (ca. 9 x 8 cm) und 75 S-W-Negativen (ca. 9 x 12 cm). Eine Box mit 33 Farbdias Ostafrika und 37 Positiven Deutsch-Südwest. Schachtel mit fünf S-W-Positiven vom Heldenfriedhof Tanga. Originale Holzkiste "Kraut Hildesheim" (ca. 38 x 17 x 17 cm) mit ca. 100 Dias (ca. 8 x 8 cm) Deutsch-Südwest der 1920er/30er Jahre (Mandatszeit). Dabei Askaris, deutsche Offiziere, Eingeborene, Gefechtsschießen, Eisenbahn, Versorgung mit Schweinen und Geflügel, Arusha, Daressalam, Engare. Viele Dias mit Originalbeschriftung Krauts. Dazu der Originalprojektor Zeiss Ikon (neu elektrifiziert) im Originalkoffer von Henriksen & Steen (ca. 40 x 20 x 30 cm). Teilweise Risse, kleine Fehlstellen, leicht beschädigt, Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Ein fotografischer Schatz mit vielen frühen Farbaufnahmen.Am 18.11.1909 wurde Georg Kraut nach Deutsch-Ostafrika versetzt, wo er im Ersten Weltkrieg an der Seite des Oberkommandeurs Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck kämpfte. Für Georg Kraut waren während der Zeit in der Kolonie die Fotografie (viele frühe Farbfotos!) und die Jagd sehr wichtig. Nach seiner Rückkehr aus Afrika und seinem Abschied als Oberstleutnant 1920 widmete er sich seinem künstlerischen Interesse und engagierte sich kulturell vorwiegend in seiner Heimatstadt Hildesheim. So hielt er zahlreiche Vorträge über seine Zeit in Afrika, bei denen er die hier angebotenen Dias präsentierte. Auch dienten seine Dias teilweise als Vorlagen für Kriegspublikationen, zum Beispiel von seinem Freund Lettow-Vorbeck. Vgl. Auktion 98, Lose 3382 - 3384.Kein Versand, nur für Selbstabholer. Cardboard box with 27 diapositives in black and white (approx. 9 x 8 cm) and 75 negatives in black and white (approx. 9 x 12 cm). One box with 33 colour slides East Africa and 37 diapositives German South West Africa. Box with five diapositives in black and white of the military cemetery Tanga. Original wooden box "Kraut Hildesheim" (approx. 38 x 17 x 17 cm) with roughly 100 slides (approx. 8 x 8 cm) German South West Africa from the 1920s/1930s (mandatory period). Including askaris, German officers, natives, battle shooting, railway, supply with pigs and poultry, Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Engare. Many slides with original captions by Kraut. Comes with the original projector Zeiss Ikon (newly electrified) in the original case by Henriksen & Steen (approx. 40 x 20 x 30 cm). Partly with cracks, minor flaws, slightly damaged, traces of use and age. A photographic treasure with many early colour slides.On 18 November 1909, Georg Kraut was transferred to German East Africa, where he fought alongside Commander-in-Chief Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck in World War I. For Georg Kraut, photography (many earlier colour photographs!) and hunting played an important role during his time in the colony. After his return from Africa and his resignation as lieutenant colonel in 1920, he committed himself to his artistic interest and cultural activities primarily in his home town Hildesheim. He gave lectures on his time in Africa during which he presented the slides offered at this auction. A small frame with an oval green blue velvet mask for a portrait, a Beards Patent Eclipse Mahogany & Brass self-feeding and withdrawing projector slide holder for 3 1/4'' square slides, a box of 12 colour panoramic projector slides, each 2'' x 7'' approx and a Pathescope British Patents No. 169976 - 175.365, 175266-277530, centre drive 8 mm "April Fool No. 30064". ***V.A.T. will be added to the hammer price of this lot.
WALT DISNEY - A 16mm Kodascope Film Reel showing three Mickey Mouse short films - 'The Haunted House' (1929), 'Pioneer Days' (1930) and 'The Birthday Party' (1931). Also included is a DVD and digital version of the reel. The Haunted House has been renamed Nightmare in this version, Pioneer Days to Redskin Raiders and The Birthday Party to Mickey Celebrates - possibly for a UK audience. This copy was taken around local churches and shown on a projector through the 1950s.
