Russia / Brazil. Documents relating to the confirming of the Order of St. Stanislaus to Barão Araujo Ferraz. One page, Rio de Janeiro, Feb. 12, 1885. Handwritten letter from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Ferraz informing him that the Order of St. Stanislaus Second Class and diploma which he was awarded has been presented in Paris by the Russian representative to the Brazilian embassy and sent through diplomatic pouch to Brazil and on to Ferraz. The letter asks Ferraz to acknowledge his receipt. Accompanied by a one-page, hand-written document, March 10, 1885 from Brazil's Imperial Secretary stating that the Emperor (Dom Pedro II) has granted Barão Araujo Ferraz the right to accept the Russian award of St. Stanislaus, Second Class. Folio. Blind embossed seal of the Secretaria do Imperio lower left. Very Good. (2)
