CONDITIONS OF SALE: 

Payment is due immediately after the sale

All the property is sold in the condition in which it is offered for sale. No claim can be accepted upon the fall of the hammer. All prospective buyers shall have the opportunity to inspect each lot for sale during the pre-sale exhibition in order to satisfy themselves as to characteristics, size, repairs or restoration

BUYER’S PREMIUM AND PAYMENT : 

In addition to the hammer price, the buyer shall pay on each lot a buyer’s premium equal to: 21 % VAT included (17.5% VAT not included), of the hammer price.

Payment is due immediately after the sale:

- Cash in Euros : for French resident (private or professionals) to an equal or lower amount of € 3 000 per sale (but to an amount of € 15 000 for a non-French resident);

- Euro cheque, providing proof of buyer’s identity;

- Bank wire transfer in Euros (BRISCADIEU’s account number on request)

- Credit card: VISA, MASTERCARD and CHINA UNIONPAY

Please note that purchases can only be collected after payment in full.

If the buyer fails to pay the amount due, and after notice to pay has been given to the buyer without success, at the seller’s request, the lot is re-offered for sale under the French procedure of “folle enchères”. In this procedure, BRISCADIEU Auction House reserves the right to claim against the defaulting buyer  the payment of the difference between the initial hammer price and the new price of sale after the “folle enchère” and the reimbursement of costs generated by the buyer’s default.

If you cannot attend the auction, we will be pleased to execute written bids on your behalf. This service is free and confidential. BRISCADIEU Auction House cannot be held liable for errors or omissions of any king in the handling of orders. A bidding form can be found at the end of this catalogue. Thank you to fill this form and join bank account details and copy of identity card or passport.

DELIVERY and TRANSPORT :

Once the hammer falls, the new buyer becomes owner and so responsible of the lot. We do not assume any liability for loss or damage to items which may occur after the hammer falls.

Please note that purchases can only be collected after payment in full. For people who bought by telephone or thanks to absentee bid, we can send items by mail. Taxes and transport will be under buyer’s responsibility. Moreover, 10€ by parcel will be asked for packaging.
