Circa 1790. Bank of Ireland Infantry cross belt plate. A brass oval convex cross belt plate engraved to the centre with a crown over GR" inscribed above and below "BANK INFANTRY" and "PRO ARIS ET FOCIS", pair of hooks and pair of fixing studs to reverse. Rare." The Bank of Ireland had its own militia up to the 1820s. 3Ā¼ x 2.40in. (8.26 x 6.10cm)
