Third Party Analytics Software

- This allows us to collect data from the website in order to pass it to third party analytics and remarketing tools such as Google Analytics and Google Adwords.
- This allows us to record website visitors and see where visitors click and scroll. It also provides heatmaps and lets us create surveys and polls for our visitors.
- CJ Affiliate by Conversant
- Tracking code that is used to track visitors who come to our site from referral sites through our affiliate marketing program.
Third Party Analytics – Functionality Cookies
We use third party functionality cookies to personalise our content for you and make your browsing experience more convenient.
We use the following third party functionality cookies:

- This allows us to test, personalise, and optimise our website in order to deliver the best experience for our visitors.

- Salesforce Marketing Cloud

- This is a survey tool that enables visitors to provide feedback on their experiences on the website. This helps us to understand where and how the website could be optimised.
- This allows us to create themed landing pages for targeted marketing campaigns.
- This allows us to present you with alternatives to expired lots or suggestions of lots you may like based on your search and bidding history.
Third Party Analytics – Display Advertising
We also use third party analytics software to collect data about traffic to our site and how visitors use our site via a display advertising cookie. This is in addition to data collected through the standard analytics implementation noted above. The display advertising cookie allows advertising to be targeted to you based on your preferences, browsing habits on our site, the type of ads you show an interest in and other data the third party may collect from your visits to other sites outside the control of Auction Technology Group.
We use the following features in Google AdWords, Google Ad Manager, Facebook Pixel, DoubleClick:
- To deliver interest-based ads when you use Facebook and other websites.
- Facebook Custom Audience
- Remarketing to show content in ads that visitors have previously visited.
- Location targeting to show ads relevant to the visitors location e.g. UK auctions to UK residents.
- Tracking code that associates Google AdWords and Facebook data with our database.
- Interest based targeting e.g. showing relevant lots and auctions to visitors who may be interested in them based upon browsing history and other information from Google.
- Device targeting – showing mobile/tablet relevant ads to mobile/tablet visitors.
- Demographic targeting – e.g. according to age, sex etc.
Blocking cookies and opting out
It is usually possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it accepting cookies from a particular website. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
