vii + 511 pages, lithographic frontispiece after Thomas Baines, 5 engraved plates, table (Table of reciprocal distances of principal military posts, ports, Etc. on Eastern Frontier), diagram, half brown leather with marbled boards, scuffed and worn, title gilt on spine, simply repaired on the spine, frontispiece loose, adhesive label removed from the front paste down end endpaper, pages 76-78 incorrectly bound, light soiling and foxing and some pence under lining, housed in a brown cloth solander box with black title label on spine
