71 + 41 + [10] pages, 3 folding charts, Table Bay, A plan of the harbour, which is repaired and slightly torn at the top fold, figure 1: View from table Bay and Figure 2 View 4 or 5 miles west from Lion's Head is slightly torn at the bottom fold, half brown leather with marbled boards, spine gilt and frayed at the top, contained in a solander box with red cloth back, and black title label gilt on spine with marbled paper sides.


Mendelssohn (Sidney) SOUTH AFRICAN BIBLIOGRAPHY volume 1 page 840: A plea for the establishment of an adequate harbour for Cape Town. The volume contains a Preface, some letters to Sir James Graham, First Lord of the Admiralty, an Introduction " in which and the Appendices is contained the examination referred to in the title-page," a report " on the necessity, practicability, estimate of expense, &c, of forming a secure harbour in Table Bay," and several appendices, references, folding and other charts.
