Vickery, the clock modelled as a Goliath pocket watch with Roman numerals, blue steel hands and seconds dial, in a white metal case together with a matching aneroid barometer, both inscribed 'J. C. Vickery To Their Majesties 179.181.183 Regent Street W.' to the dials, in a silver mounted leather case bearing a monogram to the centre, with sliding back panel, bears hallmarks for London 1905 13in. wide x 8.5in. high (33 x 21.5cms) Presented to Lord Danesfort, who was a Member of Parliament for York, as John George Butcher, born 1853 died June 30th 1935 M. P. for York 1893-1906 made Freeman of York 1906 possibly when this presentation was made, created Knight in 1918 and to the Peerage in 1924 taking the title from estates in Ireland
