Note: Signed and numbered (1071) by Fraser on p. 11 (i.e. the first page of music). Fraser acknowledges the debt to his grandfather and father who collected the original songs between 1715 and 1745 as they travelled on business in the Highlands. Fraser notes that his father was a member of the originally formed Black Watch "which, on their days of assembling, brought together the finest looking Fellows their respective Chiefs could muster ... who ... would, of course, display their highest efforts."
