A rare and unusual George III silvergilt vinaigrette of rounded oblong form,+ with engine turned decoration and an oblong cartouche on the cover initialled "P.J.G", the grille pierced and engraved with a trophy of arms, centred by an oval shield emblazonned with the Union Jack, the base hinging open to reveal a compartment with a swing out carriage to take a roller of some sort, probably by Thomas Wade, London 1815, 1.5in x 1.25in x 0.5in (3.8cm x 3cm x 1.3cm), 1. 25oz.
