Idi Amin Dada Oumee (1925-2003), military officer and former President of Uganda from 1971-79, a rare signed photograph of Amin seated in a three quarter length pose wearing his army uniform and cap, mounted on what appears to be a menu card cover, with a caption printed onto a card affixed beneath the image, signed in between the two in blue biro 'Idi A. Dada', photograph 25cm high, 20cm wide, mounted, framed and glazed in a large, heavy walnut veneered frame, frame 87cm high, 77cm wide.Condition: Photo appears to be a somewhat faded in terms of colouring. Some patches of brown spotting. Deckle edged card backing has dents to corners and edges, and some brown staining. He then retired by sale of commission in December 1854, before later becoming a Captain in the 2nd West Yorks Light Infantry Militia Feb 1855. He retired as an Honorary Major on the 11th April 1867.

Royal and Historic Interest: Court Page's Uniform worn by Angus Edward Malise Bontine Cunninghame Graham (16 February 1893 – 14 February 1981) as page at the coronation of his Godfather, King Edward VII, as page to the Duke of Fife, on 9th August 1902 comprising: frock coat in green with red cuffs, gold braided trim and button pads, gilt buttons, and a black tricorn hat with gilt trim and green ostrich feather, ivory waistcoat with gilt trim, matching breeches, silk under hose and cotton hose, lace cuffs and bib, two pairs of white gloves, kerchief and ceremonial sword and scabbard, the sword with horses head pommel.
Late 19th Century naval officers uniform. From the Cunninghame Graham collection and attributed to Commander Charles Elphinstone-Fleming Cunninghame Graham, presumably worn by him during his career in the Royal Navy. To include a Naval officer's coatee c1900 with three 14mm lace rows to cuff signifying rank as commander. Together with a moleskin bicorn hat with leather lining stamped by makers Bilney and Ashdowne.

Battle of Britain pilot Wg Cdr David Cox 19 sqn signed 7 x 5 b/w photo in Uniform WW2 RAF. Cox joined 19 Squadron at Duxford in May 1940 and during the Battle of Britain he scored 3 destroyed and 2 probables. In July 1941 he was posted away to train as an instructor and then went to 57 OTU, Hawarden. In May 1942 he joined 72 Squadron at Biggin Hill and went to North Africa with the squadron in November 1942. In Africa he scored 4 destroyed, 3 probables, 4 damaged and 1 destroyed on the ground. He was made a Flight Commander and awarded the DFC (16. 2. 43). Tour expired he was posted back to the UK in May 1943, and then became a Tactics Liaison Officer instructing American pilots and awarded a Bar to the DFC (9. 7. 43). In early January 1944 he was briefly with 130 Squadron before moving to 504 Squadron as a Flight Commander. In March 1944 he went to 84 Group Support Unit remaining there until June when he was posted to command 222 Squadron. He rejoined 84 GSU on July 17 and stayed until October 2 1944, when he was posted to 1 Squadron, later become the commanding officer. He received the C de G (Fr) in September. He was posted away in April 1945 to HQ 221 Group, Burma and led 909 (Spitfire) Wing from May to September 1945. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity. An 18ct yellow gold five stone old brilliant cut diamond ring, size L, 4.1g. CONDITION REPORT: We are not diamond graders but can comment as follows. The stones are fairly loup clean, without serious black spots or inclusions. They are drawing a little colour under magnification but to the naked eye the ring is fairly uniform and white. The largest stone approximately 5mm in diameter, the smallest approximately 4mm. Total approximately 1.5ct.

George VI Yeoman Warden of the Tower of London (Beefeater) Uniform: Kings crown tunic with heavy wire and embroidery to front /back and gold trim to sides and arms, gilt buttons and lined inside. A heavy tunic with some stitching and gilt coming away in well used condition, but still a striking piece.
WW2 British 23rd Hussars Officers Service Dress KD Uniform, 23rd Hussars officers service dress jacket and trousers in KD material. The buttons are that of the regiment and all present, including the button cuffs. It has one of the collar dogs in situ, with the other missing. On the inside pocket is the Bond Street tailors label with the name, Cpt A.J.Glyn and 22/3/44, date. The 23rd hussars were a war raised unit in which was part of the 11th armoured division and served in NWE. The reason for this in KD Material makes this an interesting piece, as well as the cut in which isn’t a standard pattern, with button hide pocket flaps and turn ups on the trouser legs. Nice clean condition.
A Second World War grouping to the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, War Medal 1939-45, Canadian issue, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, both medals unnamed as issued. Lot also includes a number of associated items including A Royal Canadian Army Service Corps cap badge, 2 cloth shoulder titles, a screw backed enamelled badge commemorating the semi-centenary of the Toronto Ontario Medical Association, a 1943 dated Officers field service cap with R.C.A.M.C. cap badge and brass buttons, 2 copy photographs in uniform.
Original vintage advertising poster- The executioners of Spain - featuring a dynamic illustration of a crouching man wearing a black uniform with a Nazi swastika on his chest and as spurs on his boots, with his sleeves rolled up and holding a bloodied axe in front of a blood soaked wooden butcher's block as a crowd of protesters holding placards marked Democracy! Peace! Down with the butcher Franco! Amnesty! in different languages inside a lightning bolt comes down from the sky to strikes him, the bold text in grey against the black background reading: The executioners of Spain won't escape from the wrath of nations! Artwork by the notable Soviet political poster designer Viktor Koretsky (1909-1998). Excellent condition. Original vintage World War Two poster featuring a portrait of the Admiral of the Fleet, Sir Andrew B Cunningham, Bart, GCB, DSO wearing a white naval uniform and hat, framed with text below and a Union Jack flag above. Admiral Sir Andrew Browne Cunningham (1883-1963), affectionately known as "ABC," worked his way up the ranks of service in the Royal Navy from 1897 to his retirement after WW2 in 1946. A bust of this distinguished leader was unveiled in Trafalgar Square, London, in 1967 by Prince Philip. Printed in England by Thos. Forman & Sons Ltd, Nottingham.
