(61cm.) high (bald left foot, pads recovered, general wear and thinning, restitched claws, mouth stitching broken, front seam open to possibly re-stuff) - this interesting bear does not have the shaved muzzle of 1906 bear and probably had five claws before restoration; the PAB is the step in design of the bear from the rod-jointed bear of 1904 to Richard Steiff’s teddy bear design of 1906; 43PAB is listed in the Sortiment at 60cm.

The cover has a couple of the pins/nodules damaged and some signs of melting to the interior and one screw missing to the engine cover/strap. Otehrwise their is wear and tear conducive with age and use, some dirt ot the white plastic behind the driver seat. The polystyrene box has both the top and b ottom. ther eis some damage to the interior of the bottom section of the box, htere is no cardboard outer cover - see images for further detail.

A charming antique 1920's / 1930's British made large jointed teddy bear, as owned by a Mrs Peggy Watson. ' Ted ' stayed with Mrs Watson all throughout her time in WWII, whilst she worked in the Land Army. After the war Mrs Watson pinned her War Medal and Land Army badge to the bear where it has remained ever since. The bear being a well loved golden-mohair example of unknown origin. Jointed legs and arms, with some repairs present. Measures approx; 49cm tall.
