A small group of glass comprising a set of four wine glasses, a set of five matching smaller examples, an oak tantalus housing three square section glass decanters and a pair of metal candlesticks modelled as birds with glass drops (one af). CONDITION REPORT: Two decanters are lacking stoppers and there is no key for the tantalus.
A Victorian figured walnut tantalus/smoking compendium, the raised top section above three hobnail cut glass decanters with lidded front section enclosing a compartmentalised interior with drawer to the base, Bramah lock (with key), and bearing plaque inscribed "The Alex Clark Manfc. Co. Fenchurch St. London. E.1", width 37cm. CONDITION REPORT: A few flecks of veneer missing to the raised top section as well as some bubbling. Heavy tarnish to the brassware throughout. Splits to the veneer at the back of the tantalus. Some small sections missing to the foot rim. One decanter broken through the neck, the other two with chips to the glass.
An Edwardian oak and electroplated mounted combination tantalus/smokers' compendium housing three clear hobnail cut glass decanters with globular faceted stoppers and pinch to section compartment to the front centred with an ashtray and cigar cutter above two drawers, with Bramah lock, (no Bramah key) width 34cm, height of the mirrored back 34cm. CONDITION REPORT: General condition appears to be good with some minor surface wear commensurate with age and some dirt particularly to the inter sectioned interior, heavy rubbing to the electroplating to the mount, some nibbles to the decanters particularly to bases of stoppers, key present but probably matched as it doesn't work smoothly.
An Edwardian mahogany and electroplated tantalus by P B S, with central loop handle to the hinged lock release bar housing three clear cut glass square sectioned decanters, two with electroplated labels "Brandy" and "Whisky", with 39 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Slightly tarnished and glass is dirty, there are light scratches to wood. Otherwise in good condition.
An Edwardian oak tantalus with carved acorn and floral motifs to the base and bar above three matched square sectioned clear cut glass decanters, width 36.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: One of the matched decanters is a bit too tall to full fit under the upper bar so the full front doesn't close when the decanter is inside although the lock with the key is intact, general surface wear and some dirt commensurate with age bleach to the velvet lining under the decanters, some chips and nibbles to the decanters.
